The lucuma fruit contains sugars like glucose, fructose, sucrose and inositol, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Also, it is a rich source of ascorbic acid, polyphenols, and carotenoids. Studies have shown the antioxidant and antihyperglycemic properties of lucuma fruit.
