Ginger is the common name of the Zingiber officinale rhizoma, traditionally used as both medicine, spice, and food. Ginger has a long history of ethnobotanical uses due to its curative properties.
Ginger contains gingerol and others bioactive photochemicals including quercetin, kaempferol, catechins, rutins, naringenin, and curcumin which contributes to the yellow color of the rhizome.
Various properties are attributed to ginger, among them stand out its properties against dizziness, nausea and indigestion, colic, irritable bowel, loss of appetite, chills, cold, flu, circulation problems, menstrual cramps, flatulence, indigestion, and gastrointestinal problems.
The Green Labs now offers Organic Ginger Root Powder for the food and nutraceutical industries.
