Origin and history

Gurarana (Paullinia sorbilis), is a creeping shrub native to the Amazon, used for the Guaranis, an indigenous people of South America as a stimulant and medicine for stomach diseases, dysentry, and other conditions. Over centuries, indigenous people have used a paste of dry and roasted seeds Guarana, and water to prepare foods, drinks, and medicines.

Guarana is considered that fights fatigue, increases mental alertness, and physical endurance.
