Origin and history

Raw cacao nibs are a result of the minim process in which cacao seeds are dried, de-hulled, and roasted. Cacao nibs are used to produce different grades of commercial chocolate, and they are often used as snacks. Cacao nibs are perfect for mixing into smoothies or trail mixes.  Cocoa nibs are crunchy, flavorful, have powerful nutrients and are natural mood lifters. The cocoa nibs are a high nutraceutical power that is a rich source of phytochemicals.

 

Currently, there is great interest in the population to consume foods to prevent or reduce the incidence of diseases. Scientific evidence shows that cocoa, in the form of cocoa nibs, is an unquestionable superfood. The powerful antioxidant activity of phytochemicals in cocoa has been associated with health protection.
